Effective control is based on agreed documents and visible stages, not occasional photographs of a tidy room. The estimate, design and schedule provide the reference for checking what should have been completed.
Define stages before work
Break the project into demolition, building services, substrates, waterproofing, finishes, installation and handover as applicable. Connect each stage to deliverables, checks and payment.
Record work before it is covered
Electrical routes, plumbing points and waterproofing become difficult to inspect after finishes. Photograph relevant work, record locations and complete applicable checks before closing it.
Use progress updates well
Photo and video updates should identify the room, stage, completed work and next decision. They support remote control but do not replace measurement or technical inspection where required.
Accept with a written list
Compare the stage with the approved scope. Record comments, assign responsibility and confirm correction before acceptance. Pay according to the agreed schedule after the stage is accepted.
Final handover
Review the complete property, documents, agreed equipment and warranty terms. Do not leave unresolved remarks as an informal promise.
